Windows 8 Will Support For ARM Processor

The rumors that we've heard it's true: Microsoft has announced that the next version of Windows is Windows 8 will support ARM-based devices.

Windows currently supports the x86 architecture used by Intel and AMD processors. However, Microsoft announced that the next iteration of Windows, Windows 8, also will support the architecture of System on a Chip (SoC), including those designed by ARM.

More specifically, they explained, Windows 8 will support ARM-based sistemyang from NVIDIA, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments. Future versions of Windows will be different from the Windows 7 Phone OS, which already supports phones that use the ARM architecture.

"With today's announcement, we demonstrate the flexibility and resilience through the power of Windows software and a commitment to world-class engineering,"said President Steven Sinofsky Windows Live division as we have quoted dati mashable.com site.

The first rumors of Microsoft's intention to support the ARM architecture emerged from last month. This step provides a version of the OS that can run on devices with low power, especially a tablet computer.
